Dr. Daniel Reininger President and CEO Chairman of the Board
Dan Reininger sets the company’s strategy and leads the activities of the management team. As an industry expert on semantic networks, Dan guides the service offerings to advance the application of semantic technology software to serve the Department of Defense and National Security intelligence analysis needs. Dan oversees the company’s customer support, professional services and product development and has lead the company’s focus towards the development of GOTS software as well as COTS software including Semandex’ Tango solution. Prior to founding Semandex, Dan held positions at NEC C&C Research Laboratories and at Sarnoff Corporation. Dan has authored many patents and publications in the areas of networking, image processing and semantic technologies. He holds a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, a Masters of Science degree and Bachelors of Science from Illinois Institute of Technology.
David Duquette Executive Vice President & General Counsel
David oversees legal affairs and investor relations, guides business and sales strategy, and secures new partnerships and product distribution channels. He was a co-founder of Sceata Group LLC, a Princeton, NJ-based technology transfer/commercialization consultancy and Flexible Medical Systems, LLC, a diagnostic medical devices company, and acted as a senior manager of Axios Energy LLC, a greenfuels spinout from Princeton University. Serving on the boards of directors of many emerging growth technology companies, he is a veteran corporate lawyer and project manager, with extensive experience advising on, negotiating and executing mergers and acquisitions on behalf of domestic and international companies, and private equity and venture capital firms. David received his BA from Princeton University, a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, and has studied at Columbia Business School.
Jaime Gomezjurado Vice President, Business Development
Jaime leads all commercial (non-Department of Defense (DoD)) business development and marketing activities and also serves as the company’s CFO. Prior to joining Semandex, Jaime was an equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley, covering Internet Infrastructure Services and Latin American Wireless stocks. He also worked as a consultant at Mars & Co., a strategy-consulting boutique, and in R&D at AT&T Bell Laboratories in the area of Automatic Speech Recognition. Jaime holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS and MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
David Ihrie Vice President, Government Programs
David leads government business development initiatives, in particular within DoD and national security agencies, and acts as liaison for government Congressional Programs. Prior to joining Semandex, David held technical management positions at the Sarnoff Corporation, and was a co-founder of WaveXpress, a Sarnoff startup that pioneered datacasting in the digital television broadcast spectrum. He has also served as CTO of Rosettex Technology and Ventures Group, responsible for bringing innovative, non-traditional technologies to the Intelligence Community, and as a program manager at the Harris Corporation. David holds an MS in Management of Technological Innovation and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both from MIT.
Jeffrey Mershon Vice President, Engineering
Jeff leads an elite team of engineers, managing services projects, consulting with customers, and working alongside other members of the management team. With nearly 30 years of software development experience, Jeff has been both an engineer and corporate executive. In 1989, he was a founding member of Logic Works, Inc. where he served in a variety of roles, helping guide the company through a successful IPO in 1995. Before joining Semandex in 2004, he worked in a number of technology startups, including LifeConnect, Casewise Systems, and Database Design Solutions. For nearly 10 years, Jeff and his family have also operated a small biodynamic farm in western New Jersey, offering nutrient-dense foods and an outreach program for young children. Jeff holds Associates Degrees in Music and Information Systems from Mercer County Community College, a BA in Mathematics from Thomas Edison State College, and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
